How old am I?

13ish. I'm not really sure. No one is.

What breed am I?

Mostly German Shorthaired Pointer. (Contrary to popular belief, not a chocolate lab!)

Why are you in a wheelchair?

So I can walk! My back legs are too weak to go very far. I don't use it at home.

How long have you been using the wheelchair?

Dad got it for me this past June to help me go on long walks again.

Why are your back legs so weak?

I have a neurodegenerative condition called GOLPP.

What the heck is GOLPP?

Geriatric Onset Laryngeal Paralysis and Polyneuropathy

Wow, that's a mouthful. What does it mean?

I am slowly losing the ability to control my back legs, larynx and esophagus.

That sounds terrible! Is it painful?

Not really. It's frustrating sometimes when my back legs don't do what I want. I also find it really hard to breathe when it gets hot outside.

Hard to breathe??

Yep, the flappy thingy that keeps food/water out of my lungs doesn't open well. It is supposed to open everytime I breathe in. (that's the LP part of GOLPP)
